One of the most important missions
of the SCA is to educate the public about the
archaeology and the history of Egypt. Exhibitions
held at various venues within the country help
to fulfill this mission.
The Egyptian Museum, Cairo, hosts a regular
series of temporary exhibitions. These focus
on a variety of topics, from themes in archaeology
and art history, such as the ancient jackal god
Wepwawet, to celebrations of the work of various
foreign countries in Egypt, as well as retrospectives
of the work of Egyptian archaeologists.
