This early 20th-century palace, built for Prince Muhammad Ali Tawfiq, houses the prince’s extensive collection of furniture, manuscripts, clothing, silver, and other objects, some of which date back to the Middle Ages. The palace, actually five separate buildings, is executed in a combination of Ottoman, Persian, and Rococo architectural styles. The beautiful garden includes rare tropical plants, also collected by the prince. The palace and gardens are currently closed for restoration.
