This cat reliquary was purchased on the antiquities market by the late James A. Diefenbeck in 1996. It was left to the University Museum of Southern Illinois University, who contacted the SCA and offered to return it. Arrangements were made, and the reliquary was returned to Egypt on July 31, 2008. It is now at the Cairo Museum.
