Located
in Anfushi, the old Turkish section of
Alexandria, is a group of five tombs
from the 2nd and 1st centuries B.C. The
wall decorations in the tombs illustrate
the interconnections between Greek and
Egyptian art and religious beliefs, and
the multi-cultural nature of the Alexandrian
population during this era.
