This
small cemetery in the middle of Alexandria
contains four rock-cut tombs dating to
the Ptolemaic era (3rd and 2nd centuries
BC). The decoration of these tombs is well-preserved,
providing vivid examples of Hellenistic
mortuary art in Egypt.
