Sehel Island is best known for the ancient graffiti that were carved on the boulders that cover its surface. Some of these are quite extensive, and document events such as quarrying expeditions and the cutting of canals through the First Cataract.

Daily, 9 AM – 5 PM

TICKET COST:
Egyptian: 1 LE
Foreign: 20 LE
50% reduction for bearers of International Student ID Card

LOCATION:
About 3 km south of Elephantine Island.

DIRECTIONS:
BY BOAT: You can access the island by felucca or by motorboat.
