Hatshepsut at the Sed Festival

This scene depicts Hatshepsut in the costume of a pharaoh performing the rites of the Sed festival, specifically the ritual run in which she would have marked the boundaries of Egypt. The Sed festival was first held after thirty years of rule. The original of this scene is from the Red Chapel of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III at Karnak.
