Bowl of Maiherpri This replica of a faience bowl is decorated with two fish swimming in water, represented by the rectangle on the bottom of the bowl. The fish hold lotus buds in their mouths. Flowers and lotus buds are also depicted around the edge of the bowl. Both the type of fish, which hatches its young from its mouth, and the lotus flower, are symbols of rebirth. |
