Bust of an Amarna Princess

This bust of an Amarna pricess, thought to be Baketaten, shows her wearing an elaborate wig with a sidelock. Baketaten is generally thought to have been a daughter of King Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti. However, it has also been also suggested that she was a daughter of Akhenaten’s secondary wife, Kiya, or was possibly even a younger sister of Akhenaten’s.
