Isidorus’s Foot This model represents a votive offering in the form of a foot wearing a sandal. The original is placed on a pedestal that bears a Greek inscription. The foot was dedicated by a man named Isidorus, as thanks for his recovery from a chariot fall in which he had injured his foot. The foot dates to the Antonine period (AD 138-190). |
